Vincent Kartheiser, Alison Brie and other members of the Mad Men cast were interviewed by TV Guide right after they won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an ensemble January 25th, 2009. At January 30th this clip was postet at the Vuze Network, and I was grateful for it, because before that I couldn't watch it for region code restictions. You need a Vuze client to watch it, otherwise you can download it by clicking the pic. Enjoy :-)

I managed to capture the video clip from Entertainment Weekly's Mad Men - Behind the scenes of season 2. I only could grab 30 fps, which lead to a slight quality loss regarding the state of being synchronous. But that's the best I can do with my tools, so I hope you can enjoy it nevertheless :-) The size of the clip is almost 70Mb, you need a player capable of playing quick time files. The workday has begun at the Sterling Cooper advertising agency, yet the offices are unusually quiet. It's early May on the downtown Los Angeles soundstage that houses the Mad Men sets, and right now there are no clattering typewriters, ringing phones, or hushed voices sharing juicy gossip. Save for lighter moments in between takes — like when actor Jon Hamm grins naughtily as he tosses his fedora across the room at show creator Matthew Weiner, and misses — the atmosphere is dead serious. As cameras begin rolling, a dozen or so Sterling Cooper employees, including the ambitious junior exec Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser), are huddled around a secretary's desk, hanging on to every word coming from her transistor radio. They listen to the breaking news: A plane departing from New York's Idlewild Airport has crashed in Long Island. Nearly a hundred people are dead. When bosses Don Draper (Hamm) and Roger Sterling (John Slattery) join the stunned staffers, Don immediately orders his team to halt production on their new campaign for Mohawk Airlines. ''The rest of you,'' he commands, all stern composure, ''stop crying and figure out how we're going to hit the ground running in three weeks with new work.'

Finally! kartheiser_grl found Vincent's acceptance speech when he received his Young Hollywood Award as Breakthrough Star of the year for his part as Pete in Mad Men. Kartheiser's award was presented by his series co-star Jon Hamm. I managed to capture the clip and uploaded it so you guys can get it too :-)

AMC posted a deleted scene from Mad Men's episode 1.13 The Wheel which shows Vincent as Pete with his wife Trudy (Alison Brie) in a cute little love scene, while there was discussing the risks of having a baby. As always AMC allows you to show this clip on your website, so I couldn't resist - here it is :-) If you like to download the clip to have it at your computer, just follow the link at the bottom of this post. Kartheiser_grl posted yesterday, that there is a clip on youtube which shows an Interview with Vincent Kartheiser focusing on Mad Men, Angel and the appearance of clips with him on youtube. The talk was hold by BBC4 and only accessible for UK people. Well, I managed to download it as a flv-file and uploaded it to my German Website, so here it is! It's about 3:30 minutes long and has a size of 10 MB. Of course you need a flv-player of your choise compatible to your computers operating system to watch it. You're welcome to download it, you can do it using the "Download flv-file" link or clicking on the picture below.

While I was looking for a way to download the lastest interview clip with Vincent Kartheiser - the one Kartheiser_grl was referring too today - I found a little 30 second Clip in which he's advertising Mad Men for BBC4. Finally I find a way to download embedded flash videos, especially the ones with Vincent from the official Mad Men site. I won't post them on the internet, because I find it really nice from the AMC guys to support us webmasters by allowing to link to their clips ( of course thats "unpaid advertisemnet", but anyway, lots of people in the business don't support it ;-) ), so I don't want to spoil them. But if you're a "Vinnie keeper" like myself and try to save everything about him on your pc, feel free to contact me and I'm gonna send it over :-)


Ich habe endlich einen Weg gefunden, mir lokal embedded flash Videos zu speichern. Ich werde sie nicht ins Internet stellen, da ich es klasse finde, daß die AMCler uns webmaster supporten und da nicht dazwischen funken möchte, aber wer wie ich alles, was es über Vinnie gibt, versucht zu sammeln, kann mich gerne kontaktieren ;-)
