It's that time again: robins and blackbirds wake us in the early morning with their singing, crocuses sprout, thick bumblebees flying around and finally, finally we've got sunshine :-)
Today, at 6:14 GMT, was the astronomical beginning of spring called spring equinox.

For a long time now, I‘m celebrate winter solstice every year. For me it is one of the 3 big celebration days: summer solstice, birthday and winter solstice. So today, at 6:30 p.m. the sun reached it‘s lowest angle over the horizon. As a consequence, today we will only have 8 hours and 5 minutes sunlight in my country, at least in theory :-) It is the „shortest“ day in the year.

But of course it is cloudy. Nevertheless, we will celebrate tonight, having a nice meal, honey Mead and lots of candles.

I like to take advantage of that special day to share some of my winter impression from last december here, unlike this year it was snowy and everything just looked beautiful :-)

This interview with Zachary Quinto about his upcoming movie „What‘s your number“ was posted from vero244a on september 08 2011 via youtube, but for some reason I saw it for the first time today.
Zachary talks mostly about how brave the female lead Anna Faris is to make such a fool about herself, a quality, which is due to Zach essential for being a good comedian. He thinks that this movie is not a typical romantic comedy, because it is grittier, so maybe it‘s worth watching anyway, even if you are not a fan of this genre?
We‘ll see :-)

A couple of hours ago, Zachary Quinto posted this Associated Press interview via his official Facebook account. It shows a couple of scenes from the Star Trek 2009 promotion tour and Zachary speculates how his character and his relationship with Uhura might evolve in Star Trek 12.


For me, the most interesting part was Zacharys assumption, that Star Trek 12 will be out 4 years later than the last movie, which means 2013. This is the first time I hear this number, although there were speculations before that 2012 might not be possible anymore.

Zachary Quinto can bee seen in the benefit reading of Side Man, a Tony award winning play from Warren Leight. The event will take place at August 28, 2011 at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY, 7 pm.
The original Broadway cast members Jeff Binder (Al), Kevin Geer (Jonesy), Michael Mastro (Ziggy), Angelica Torn (Patsy), and Frank Wood (Gene) will star to, while the casting for the role of Terry isn‘t completed.

Was is just a couple of days ago, that I was celebrating having Microchilla back from the hospital? Well, it should not be that way. When I came home from work on friday evening, poor little chinchilla baby was in a bad shape and I took it and it's mother back to the hospital. Of course they've tied everything they could, but on saturday morning at 9 am I received the call I hoped I would never get: it had passed away.

Poor little thingy. I will miss you and I hope that there is some chinchilla heaven somewhere with tons of fresh grass and many other chinchillas to play and be free. Someday your parents will join you.
